"My health      transformed and I know yours can too..."

Former journalist, Alex Newte Hardie, turned to natural therapies to help manage a chronic health condition. Amazed by the results, she was inspired to retrain to become a naturopath to help others. She was appointed resident naturopath at the University of Westminster and shortly afterwards, joined the Light Centre in 2013 where she also works as the General Health Practitioner at the Belgravia branch running Holistic Health Screenings.

During her early years in clinical practice, Alex found stress to be the root cause or primary aggravator of her own and her patients' health conditions. This led her to study mindfulness meditation and she completed her Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy teacher training at the start of 2014 and has been teaching courses at the centre and around London ever since.

Alex is registered with the General Council and Register of Naturopaths and studied with Enter Mindfulness, recognised by the UK Network of Mindfulness-Based Teacher Trainers.

Alex has also put her journalism experience to good use, co-authoring Insights magazine for teenage cancer charity, Trekstock and Virgin Care (download your copy here ).

She has also collaborated with Grazia Magazine and MacMillan Cancer Support to produce a video aimed at carers of people living with cancer and has written several articles for The Heatlh Store Magazine (see article on the left).

Alex is also a member of the British Naturopathic Association (GNA) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
